PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Alstasan II 256 is a concentrated cleaner and disinfectant in one - a fourth-generation quaternary ammonium formulation for hard surfaces: ceramic, marble and granite floors, furniture, walls and metal. It cleans and disinfects in a single pass, which is the difference between one round of mopping and two, and it leaves a mint fragrance rather than a chemical smell.
At 40 ml per 10-litre bucket, two 500 ml bottles make about 25 buckets - roughly 250 litres of cleaning and disinfecting solution. For a home mopping once a day that is most of a month from a pack that fits in a cupboard, which is the whole argument for buying a concentrate rather than a ready-to-use floor cleaner: you stop paying to ship water.
It is non-corrosive and non-bleaching, so it is safe on marble and granite flooring, wooden and laminate furniture and metal fittings, and it will not pull colour out of a rug it meets at the edge. At use dilution it is eye and skin friendly. Mint fragrance rather than a hospital smell.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Cleans and disinfects together — One product, one pass. A separate cleaner followed by a separate disinfectant is twice the labour for the same floor.
- Dilutes 40 ml to 10 litres — A 250-times dilution, so the cost per bucket is small and the concentrate is what you are paying to ship - not water.
- Non-corrosive, non-bleaching — Safe on marble, granite, furniture and metal fittings, and will not lift colour from flooring or upholstery.
- Eye and skin friendly — Fourth-generation QAC at use dilution, so housekeeping staff are not handling something that burns.
- Mint fragrance — Leaves a clean smell rather than a disinfectant smell, which is what a lobby or a restaurant floor needs.
HOW TO USE
- Dilute 40 ml in 10 litres — Measure 40 ml of concentrate into a 10-litre bucket of water. Do not eyeball it - more is not better and less does not disinfect.
- Sweep or vacuum first — Remove loose grit before mopping. A mop pushing grit around scratches marble and granite and leaves the disinfectant fighting dust.
- Mop, spray or wipe — The same dilution does floor mopping, furniture wiping and spray disinfection of walls and fittings.
- Let it stay wet — Do not chase the mop with a dry cloth. The surface needs to stay wet for the disinfectant to act; it will air dry without streaking.
- Set the frequency by traffic — Workplaces and high-traffic areas: mop twice a day. Homes: once a day. Make up a fresh bucket each round rather than reusing yesterday’s.
