Chemtex Snow Powder is based on premium quality sodium polyacrylate polymer. It is the same material used in children’s diapers. It can last for days as long as it is kept out of heat and direct sunlight.

When water is added to this white powder polymer, it instantly expands to 200 times its original volume, producing a snow-like material. When more water is added, a slush forms. When allowed to dry, it returns to its powdered form ready to be used again.

How to Use

Super Simple Application: Take 1 teaspoon (5 grams) of Chemtex snow powder into a container and add 100 ml of water. Watch the powder amazingly erupt into snow without stirring or mixing, growing nearly 200 times its size.

How it works?

Chemtex Snow Powder is made of cross-linking molecules of sodium polyacrylate polymer. These small individual cross-linked clusters appear as a white powdery substance. With water, these individual clusters internally hydrate and expand, forming small, fluffy clusters that do not cling to surrounding clusters. This appears as a powdery snow. When more water is added, the water molecules also hydrate the external surface of these clusters which begin to adhere to one another, appearing as slush.

The unique properties of this snow makes it useful for many other applications, such as an artificial base for skiers, snow themes on movie sets and pandals. Because of its ability to rapidly absorb and retain large volumes of aqueous solutions, and forming gels, it is also used for industrial spill containment. When wet, this polymer has the consistency of snow, adheres well to boots, and is very slippery.

If you receive any damaged goods on arrival, we strongly advice you to register a complaint within 24 hours of receipt, we may request couple of images of the same viz., damaged material’s pictures, packaging pictures, etc., which you need to submit on request. Can I request to resend/refund the material if I am not available at residence/address?
In case you are not available at your mentioned address, our delivery partners re-attempt depending upon availability of delivery personnel. Post that delivery charge will be applicable. The free delivery offer is only for the first shipment.
